Zeravos

Cloaked in shadows and wielding an ancient blade that pulses with sentient malice, Zeravos not known in Umbra but the weapon he carries, The ShadowBlade is remembered, feared, and soon will be a quick reminder to those who forgot for the reason of its banishment. Part man, part myth, part weapon. He is not simply a warrior, but a living mantle, a force twisted by the very darkness he commands.

But Zeravos was not always this way. Beneath the armor and glowing eyes lies the shattered soul of Ethan Kade: a husband, father, scholar, a man who once sought knowledge over violence. Chosen and manipulated by darker powers, Ethan touched the ShadowBlade and was consumed by it, becoming something more… and something less.

Now, the man who once loved and learned is locked in a battle for control against the voice in the blade, the will of its creator, and the chaos threatening to devour Umbra. Zeravos is both savior and destroyer, puppet and rebel, cursed and crowned. The question that remains isn’t what he’ll do, it’s if anyone still remains inside him after all of this.

The ShadowBlade

The ShadowBlade is an ancient, indestructible weapon of immense power. More than just a tool of combat, it is a vessel of transformation once touched, it binds itself to its wielder and reshapes them into Zeravos, a shadow-born warrior of unimaginable force.

The blade can cast incantations, cleave through monsters, and manipulate shadow energy, but at its core lies a secret: it is the prison of Skia, The Primordial Shadow: the former ruler of Umbra who was overthrown and banished. Skia’s essence is sealed within the blade, allowing him to whisper through it, influencing and feeding off the wielder from within.

The ShadowBlade’s power is paradoxical. It does not grow stronger through violence or hatred instead, it feeds on goodness. The more morally pure the wielder is, the more potent the transformation becomes. It seeks someone with a healthy conscience, a strong sense of right and wrong not to protect them, but to feed off that inner light to fuel its own might.

Skia – The Primordial Shadow

Born from creation's chaos, Skia is the source of the ShadowBlade’s power. Pure evil, but not the straitforward kind. Skia represents equilibrium itself. Though long forgotten, Skia’s influence begins to stir within Ethan, whispering secrets in battle, and providing assistance to its wielder.

Arkanis – The Lord of Chaos

Once a respected member of the Umbral Council, Arkanis became obsessed with power. Rejected by the ShadowBlade, he manipulated events to force Ethan to claim it instead. Through deception and ancient sorcery, Arkanis severed the blade’s memory of Skia and twisted it to serve his ambition, but shadows have begun to resist.
